Aurgho Jyoti was invited as the Guest Speaker for the “Parted Crafts” exhibition held at ICCR told the story of the impact of Partition on Bengal’s handicrafts and craft. It was organised by Archi Banerjee, a Mead Fellowship Awardee from the University of the Arts London, and supported by Kolkata Partition Museum as the outreach partner. Guests of honour for the discussion panel included Raizul Islam (Deputy High Commission for Bangladesh), Ruby Pal Choudhuri (President Emeritus of Craft Council of West Bengal), and Debanjan Chakrabarti (Director British Council India). The guests and speakers were introduced by Tapati Guha Thakurta (cultural historian, Honorary Professor at CSSSC and Trustee of KPM Trust). The Telegraph spoke about AUR’s focus on the subaltern.
