It was great to be introduced to the Consul General of Nigeria in New York, Ambassador of Nigeria in Washington DC, and several ex-ambassadors and diplomats. The event was moderated by Professor Ugoji Adanma Eze, Esq. PhD with Professor Tai Balofin serving as the coordinator. Speakers included current Ambassador Jidda Abubakar (Consulate General of Nigeria in New York), previous Ambassador Akinremi Bolaji (President/CEO of TOC), diplomat Oluwakemi Amuda, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations). We thank Mridul Pathak and his 20 years of work in Nigeria as a diplomat and businessman for facilitating and extending the invite. (23rd April, 2026)
Aurgho was invited to speak on sustainable development at the Consulate General of Nigeria in New York. The event at Nigeria House was held on the margins of the 2026 UN Sustainable Development Goals Investment Fair and ECOSOC Forum on Financing for Development. Aurgho’s talk highlighted the current work of AUR in India, Nepal, and the US. He spoke about the role of architecture in creating cultural meaning within the context of endless growth and development and proposed the creation of an Africa Diaspora Centre in Nigeria.
